to lionmad : Many black Latinas are clearly mixed mulattos or quadroons: Maya Bijou (Mexican/African American), Maya Morena (Hondurian), Jasmine Caro (Cuban), Eva Gomez (Columbian), Destiny Summers (Columbian), Jeyla Spice (Porturrican), Cassidy Banks (Porturrican), Raquel Rivera (Porturrican), Catalina Taylor (Dominican), Ariel Pure Magic (Dominican), Miss Raquel (Dominican), Ice La Fox (Cuban/Porturrican), etc.. Latin Americans were taught the opposite of the one-drop rule due to anti-blackness. In Latam, having 1 white ancestor = white. So to Latinos, mulattos & quadroons can classify as “white”, which is a problem frequently seen in the Dominican Republic, where 90% of the population is black but identify as white. Any dark-skinned Dominican is called “Haitian”. Sorry for the history lecture, but hope you & others give a “like”! 👍🏻👍🏻

to lionmad : Every Porturrican & Latino person regardless of their appearance has Sub-Saharan African admixture. It is impossible for them to not be part-Black given the sheer number of slaves they received. From my understanding, the Africans in Latam were very different from the ones here. In Latam, they were very submissive to their masters & willingly mixed, which is why many Black Latinas look like the girl in the vid. Same with Kira Rodriguez, for example. Then you have the white-passing Porturricans that are evidently mixed with African, such as Carmela Clutch & Alicia Starr. There are Black Latinas evidently of African descent like Joyce Oliveira from Brazil, Candance Von from the Dominican Republic & Porscha Carrera from Puerto Rico. Rico Strong & Jack Napier, for example, are also Black Porturricans so are Latinos but many people are unaware of that & think that Latinos can’t be Black when there are A LOT more black people in Latam than in the U.S., Canada & the UK combined!

to lionmad : Wow you commented this 9 years ago, but I really hope you see my reply! She IS a redbone black bitch, Porturrican isn’t a race, it’s a nationality but all Porturricans are also Americans. Anyone can be Porturrican. Latam received most of the 15M Africans from the transatlantic slave trade. We only received about 4% in the U.S..
